Lightning kills 12 in Bangladesh

Lightning in seven different districts of Bangladesh has claimed lives of at least 12 people. Lightning hit Sunamganj, Jamalpur, Sherpur, Gaibandha, Bagerhat, Dinajpur and Mymensingh districts of Bangladesh.

Lighting in Dirai, Tahirpur and Dharampasha upazilas of Sunamganj district killed four and injured three others, The Daily Star reported. At least two died in Dirai upazila.

A lightning strike killed three in Jamalpur. Other died in lightning strike in Sherpur, Gaibandha area.

According to bdnews24, a woman died after being struck by lightning in Chittagong's Fatikchharhi Upazila.

Multiple lightning strikes in Bangladesh killed at least eight people in four different districts on April 13.
