Tornado in Southern California today causes no damage

A tornado touched down in the Southern California desert sometime between 3:45 and 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

Tornado was spotted in rural Riverside County, about 15 miles east-northeast of Eagle Mountain, NBC Southern California‎ reported quoting the National Weather Service in Phoenix.

No tornado damage or injuries have been reported.

According to KCRA, the state of California experiences about nine to 10 tornadoes a year.
