  • Flooding in Argentina
    -Heavy flooding in Cordoba and Santiago del Estero province of Argentina have claimed lives of at least 12 people.
    -A total of 1,434 people have been evacuated in Cordoba and about 3,000 in
    Santiago del Estero province of Argentina.
  • Landslide in Whidbey Island, United States
    -A landslide on Whidbey Island in Washington, United States has damaged one house.
    -The house was vacant and no one was hurt.

  • M 5.5 moderate earthquake in Papua New Guinea (@ 22 km depth) with epicenter located 207 km ESE of Kimbe. Weak tremor will have been felt bye the people of Kimbe, Kokopo, Kandrian    , Namatanai and Rabaul.

  • M 3.7 light earthquake in Oklahoma (@ 3 km depth) with epicenter located 26 km SSE of Medford. Light to weak shaking will have been felt by the people of Enid, Ponca City and Stillwater.

  • M 4.2 light deep earthquake in New Zealand (@ 254 km depth) with epicenter located 70km E of Waitara. Weak tremor will have been felt by the people of New Plymouth, Taupo and Tokoroa.

Magnitude 4.8 earthquake hits Sindhupalchowk, Nepal — Tremor felt in Kathmandu Valley

The Nepal Seismological Center has confirmed magnitude 4.8 moderate earthquake in Sindhupalchowk district of Nepal. The epicenter was located north of Kiwool.

The earthquake occurred at 07:11 pm local time. The tremor was well felt across Bhaktapur, Lalitpur and Kathmandu district of Nepal.

No damage or injuries has been reported.

Last month, an earthquake of magnitude 5.0 was recorded in Sindhupalchowk as well. The epicenter was located in Phulpingkot area of Sindhupalchowk district.

Nepal lies in high seismic hazard zone. The April 2015 Nepal earthquake killed nearly 9,000 people and injured nearly 22,000.

We have received report of earthquake of magnitude 4.8 in Sindhupalchowk district of Nepal. It was well felt across Kathmandu Valley.

However, the Nepal Seismological Center hasn't mentioned about this earthquake in its website. We will mention the official details once posted by the Nepal Government.

5.0 magnitude earthquake shakes Kathmandu, epicenter in Sindhupalchowk

November 27, 2019: Tremor has been felt in capital Kathmandu following magnitude 5.0 moderate earthquake in Sindhupalchowk district, Nepal Seismological Center reported.
According to the Nepal Seismological Center, the earthquake occurred at 10:08 pm with epicenter in Phulpingkot area of Sindhupalchowk district.
No damage or injuries has been reported.
Nepal lies in high seismic hazard zone. The April 2015 Nepal earthquake killed nearly 9,000 people and injured nearly 22,000.
