  • Landslide in Lilydale Park, Minnesota
    -One fourth grade student of Hobart Elementary School died and another went missing following a landslide in Lilydale Park.
    -Firefighters and police officers rescued two other student from gravel slide. However one student is still reported missing and is presumed dead.

  • Tornado in Russia-At least 200 people have been injured due to tornado in Efremov, near Tula, central Russia.
    -Tula Governor Vladimir Gruzdev declared a state of emergency during his participation in storm clean up.

  • M 3.9 light shallow earthquake in Montenegro (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 24 km SW of Žabljak. Weak tremor will have felt as far as Podgorica.

  • M 3.4 light shallow earthquake in Utah (1 km depth) with epicenter located 8km ESE of Tooele. It will have well felt by the people of Herriman, Oquirrh, Riverton and Salt Lake City.

  • M 7.4 strong deep earthquake in Guam (@ 171 km depth) with epicenter located 282 km SW of Vaini. USGS expects maximum shaking intensity of IV in Vaini, Havelu, Nuku`alofa and `Ohonua. No Tsunami threat.

Recent Flash Floods

  • Flash floods in Kathmandu, Nepal
    -Heavy rainfall swept away at least two houses
    in Kathmandu, Nepal.

  • Flooding in Norway
    -Hundreds of people have been evacuated following mudslides and flooding in Norway.
    -Train services through Gudbrandsdalen and Østerdalen that connect Oslo and Trondheim have been closed.

Liechtenstein earthquake shakes Switzerland

Update 14:15 UTC Swansea City’s preparations for their crucial Europa League clash in Switzerland has been disrupted due to the earthquake, Wales Online reported. M 4.0 light shallow earthquake shakes Liechtenstein today, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported. According to the EMSC, the quake's epicenter was located just 1 km SW of Balzers (Liechtenstein) and 4 km E of Sargans (Switzerland). It was 1 km deep. Tremor was felt across Liechtenstein and parts of Switzerland. No damage or injuries have been reported from earthquake in Liechtenstein. Earthquakes in Liechtenstein are rare.
