  • Flash flood in Migori, Kenya
    -
    Flash floods in Kenya's Migori county have killed at least 10 people.
    -Following Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS), flash floods in Kenya since March have claimed 90 lives and displaced more than 100,000 others. Click for detail report on Kenyan flood.

    -Recent flash floods in Somalia have killed seven children and displaced 50,000 others.

  • M 4.2 light shallow earthquake in Northeastern Iran (@ 2 km depth) with epicenter located 6 km E of BojnĊĞrd. Weak shaking will have felt a far as Ashgabat (Turkmenistan).

  • M 3.5 light shallow earthquake in East Foothills, California (@ 7 km depth) with epicenter located 8km E of Alum Rock. It will have well felt by the people of San Jose and Milpitas.

  • M 4.2 light shallow earthquake in Grindavik, Iceland (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 40km WSW of Grindavik. Just a weak shaking of MMI II-III will have felt by the people of Hafnarfjordur, Kopavogur and Reykjavik.

Recent Flash Floods

  • Hail, flooding in Temple, Texas
    -Storms caused heavy rain, hail and street flooding in Temple area of Texas.
    -The storm produced one-inch hail in eastern Temple and 1.75-inch hail on the northeast side of Temple.

    -A tropical cyclone is expected to hit Arakan State in west Burma.
    -Cyclone is expected to make landfall on Tuesday night

  • Ice storm in Manitoba, Canada-Extensive ice storm at Ochre Beach on Dauphin Lake in Manitoba, Canada has damaged at least 20 houses.

  • Tornado in Massachusetts, United States
    -
    An EF0 tornado touched down in the area of Washington Street in Stoughton.
    -There were no reports of injuries.
  • A Meteorite has hit mahangu field in the village of Oshika, Namibia. Meteorite was the size of a small ball.

Tibet/Nepal earthquake 2013 injures people
