  • M 5.6 moderate deep earthquake in Sulawesi, Indonesia (@ 102 km depth) with epicenter located 75 km SSW of Bilungala. Light shaking of MMI IV will have felt by the people of Gorontalo and Luwuk. People of Tondano, Tomohon, Kintom and Manado will have felt weak shaking of MMI III.

  • M 4.7 moderate earthquake in Coquimbo, Chile (@ 40 km depth) with epicenter located 38 km N of La Serena. It will have well felt by the people of Coquimbo, Vicuna, Ovalle and Salamanca.

  • M 5.5 moderate sea quake in Komandorskiye Ostrova, Russia Region (@ 30 km depth) with epicenter located 91 km NW of Nikol'skoye. It will have just faintly felt in coastal area.

  • M 4.6 moderate earthquake in Cordoba, Argentina (@ 34 km depth) with epicenter located just 5 km ESE of Salsacate. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Villa Carlos Paz, Cosquin, La Falda, Córdoba, Pocho, Río Cuarto and San Alberto.

Ongoing Major River Floods (Based on Satellite observation): Afghanistan (Amu Darya), Australia (Darling), Bolivia (Madre de Dios), Brazil (Tocantins), Chad (N Djamena), China (Mekong and Huang He), Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ubangi), Dominican Republic, Honduras, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq (Shatt al Arab and Tigris), Kenya (Tana), Philippines, Sudan (Blue Nile, White Nile), Syria (Euphrates), Tanzania.
  • Flooding in Plymouth, England
    -Around 40mm of rain is forecast to fall across Plymouth on Saturday.
    -The Met Office has a yellow warning of heavy rain in place across plymouth and the South West for today, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Recent Tropical Cyclones
  • Tropical Depression Wukong
    -As of 12:00 UTC, TD Wukong (local name Quinta) was located 280 nm east-southeast of Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam.
    -The death toll from Tropical Storm Wukong in the central Philippines has risen to 11. Three people are still missing.
    -Flood displaced more than 28,000 people.
    -A state of disaster has been declared in nine towns in Iloilo and Aklan provinces.
