Recent Natural Disasters

• Flash floods in Panja district of Indonesia
  -Flash floods in Papua in eastern Indonesia displaced more than 1,000 people. Flood also damaged over 200 houses.
  -Heavy rainfall led to overflow of Eranouli river and caused flash floods in Eranouli village in Panja district.
  -Following National Disaster Management and Mitigation Agency officials, flood water also damaged a health clinic and a clean water facility.

• M 4.8 moderate earthquake near the East Coast of Honshu, Japan (@ 66 km depth) with epicenter located 42 km ESE of Kamaishi. Just a weak shaking of MMI III will have felt by the people of Otsuchi, Ofunato and Yamada.
