  • Flooding in Gabala, Azerbaijan
    -Heavy rainfall caused flooding in Laza, Duruja, Gamarvan, Bum and Vandan villages of Azerbaijan.
    -Several river dams reported to be flooded.
    -Azerbaijan, officially the Republic of Azerbaijan is the largest country in the Caucasus region located at the crossroads of Western Asia and Eastern Europe.
  • Heavy storms in Metro Atlanta, Georgia
    -Storms damaged several houses in Gwinnett County.
    -Lightning caused fire in Jefferson Township Lane.
    -No reports of injury or major damage.
    -There is 90% chance of showers and some big storms in Metro Atlanta tomorrow.

  • M 4.6 moderate earthquake near the East Coast of Honshu, Japan (@ 27 km depth) with epicenter located 26 km E of Kashima-shi. Light shaking of MMI IV will have felt by the people of Hasaki, Omigawa and Itako. Weak shaking will have felt as far as Mito, Tsuchiura and Tokyo.

  • Hurricane Emilia
    -As of 01:00 UTC, Hurricane Emilia was located 1110 km SSW of the southern tip of Baja California.
    -Emilia is moving toward the west-northwest near 9 mph.
    -Emilia is a category three hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale.  Slow weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours.
  • Tropical Storm Daniel
    -As of 01:00 UTC, TS Daniel was located 2020 km E of Hilo, Hawaii.
    -Daniel is forecast to become a Post-tropical remnant low by Thursday.

    -Wildfire in Oregon (Long Draw Fire) has grown about 50,000 acres now.
    -Roads closed between Burns Junction and the Nevada border.

    -Tornado Warning For Southeastern Mainland Hyde County In Eastern North Carolina (NC).
    -National Weather Service Doppler Radar indicated a tornado 7 Miles Southwest of Engelhard moving East at 10 Mph.
