  • Landslide in Colombia
    -Four people reported to be killed in landslide in Malvinas and Florencia region of Colombia.
    -At least 30 people have died within one month in Colombia due to landslide disaster.
    -Following Colombia's National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD), 48 crises are caused by the rain including landslides, floods, and water source overflows.
    -Heavy rainfall from several days caused landslide.
    -Flooding and associated landslides in 2010 was one of the deadliest natural disaster in Colombia which killed 174 people.

Light shaking of MMI IV will have felt by the people of Asahi, Itako, Kasukabe, Narita, Mobara, Tsuchiura, Tsukuba and Yokaichiba. People of Abiko, Chiba, Fuchū, Fujisawa, Furukawa, Hokota, Kawasaki, Kuki, Kōfu, Kōriyama, Mito, Saitama, Saku, Sayama, Shimodate, Tokai, Tokyo, Tsurugashima, Utsunomiya, Yachimata, Yokohama, Yokosuka and Zushi will have felt weak shaking of MMI II-III.

  • M 2.8 minor earthquake in Austrian-German border region (@ 5 km depth) with epicenter located just below Schneizlreuth. Just a weak shaking will have felt by the people of Bad reichenhall  and Salzburg.

  • M 5.5 strong shallow sea quake in Nicobar Islands, India region (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 119 km NE from Misha. About 16,000 people will have felt light shaking of MMI IV.

  • M 3.0 weak shallow earthquake in Central Italy (@ 8 km depth) with epicenter located just below Cingoli. Ancona is 35 km far where weak shaking will have felt.

  • M 4.2 moderate shallow earthquake in Guerrero, Mexico (@ 12 km depth) today with epicenter located just 5 km NE Amuzgos. Weak shaking of MMI II-III will have experienced by the people of Ometepec and Oaxaca, Mexico.

  • M 4.6 moderate shallow earthquake in Eastern Honshu, Japan (@ 20 km depth) with epicenter located 62 km WNW of Fukushima. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Kitakata  and Aizuwakamatsu, Fukushima, Kōriyama, Sendai and Tokai city.

  • M 4.6 moderate shallow earthquake Near the Coast of Central Peru (@ 21 km depth) with epicenter located 55 km W Marcona. Weak shaking will have felt as far as Ica.

  • M 4.0 light shallow earthquake in Guadeloupe Region, Leeward Islands (@ 35 km depth) with epicenter located 44 km SE La désirade. Weak shaking will have felt by the people of  Saint-françois.

Volcanic Activity List
  • Indonesia/Mt Lokon Volcano recent volcanic activity
    -People living around Mount Lokon in Tomohon are urged to evacuate the area following the increased activity.
    -It is currently at alert level 3 and 2.5 kilometer radius of the volcano’s crater is sealed.
    -Mt Lokon last erupted on June 14, 2011, sending ash and debris 1,500 meters into the sky.
  • Mexico/Popocatepet recent volcanic activity
    -Continuous outpouring of water vapor and gases are reported today.
    -The volcanic alert level remains at Phase 3.
    -Popocatepetl, world's most dangerous volcano, is located at an altitude of 5426 meters above sea level.
    Update 13:50 UTC
    Still there are emission of water vapor and gases.

Flooding List
  • Flooding in Balkh, Afghanistan
    -16 killed after flooding in Kushandi and Shulgara districts of Afghanistan.
    -More than 800 houses reported to be destroyed.
    -The flash floods occurred on Sunday and affected the districts of Kushandi and Shulgara.
    -At least 60 shops destroyed in Shulgara.
  • Flooding in Selby, England
    -Torrential rainfall caused flash flood in Selby, England.
    -Following an official from North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service, about 15 firefighters are helping to pump water out of the village.

  • Wildfire in Primavera forest, Mexico
    -8,000 acres forestland burned in Mexico's western state of Jalisco.
    -At least 10 schools reported to be closed in Zapopan and Tala area due to thick smoke.
  • According to the Citizens’ Disaster Response Center (CDRC) of Philippines, the economic cost of the more than 400 natural and man-made disasters that hit the country last year was a staggering P26 billion. Out of the 302 natural disasters that happened worldwide, 33 natural disasters occurred in Philippines  (source businessmirror.com.ph)
