• Deadly Cyclone "Giovanna" In Madagascar
  UPDATE
  -Death toll has risen to 10
  -Three killed with 75-95% destruction reported In Brickaville and Vatomandry region of Madagascar
  -7 out of 10 houses have been destroyed in the district of Vatomandry
  -Some bridges and roads especially between the district of Toamasina and the Capital Antananarivo
  -Most government buildings have been completely destroyed
  -Several part including capital Antananarivo, are without water, electricity or telephone services
  -Madagascar cyclone is expected to leave by early today
  -Two helicopters will be surveying the affected areas
  -Now there is report of another storm currently in Indian Ocean approximately 1000 miles east-southeast of Diego Garcia which could strike Madagascar next week. Detail update tracking report @ Cyclone Giovanna in Madagascar

• M 3.7 very shallow light earthquake in San Francisco Bay Area, California (@ 9 km depth) with epicenter just below Crockett. People of Vallejo, Rodeo, Martinez, Benicia, El Sobrante, Berkeley, Oakland and other neighboring region will have felt it well. About 105,000 people will have experienced light shaking of MMI V.   Benicia, Rodeo, Hercules and Pinole region will have experienced weak shaking. It was also faintly felt as far as  San Jose, San Francisco, Sacramento and Stockton region

• M 3.4 weak very shallow earthquake in Southern Italy (@ 2 km depth) with epicenter close to Latina. It will have well felt in Pontinia, Sermoneta and Latina region of Italy

• M 4.2 shallow earthquake in Guangdong, China (@ 19 km depth) with epicenter located 117 km ESE of Yingde, Guangdong, China. Weak shaking will have felt in Guangzhou city too

• M 4.5 very shallow earthquake in Panama (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 94 km S from La Palma, Panama. It will have faintly felt as far as Panama city, Panama

• M 5.8 very strong shallow earthquake in  Eastern New Guinea Reg, Papua New Guinea (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 88 km S of Lae, New Guinea, PNG. About 1,000 people will have very strong shaking of MMI VII. Strongest jolt will have felt in Bulolo region. People in Wau will have experienced moderate shaking of MMI V and light shaking in Lae, Finschhafen and Kerema region. Just a weak shaking will have felt in Kainantu, Kokoda,Popondetta, Goroka, Port Moresby and Kundiawa region

The epicenter is in sea water 245 km WNW from Bandon, OR. The earthquake happened in United States, State of Oregon (population 2,958,009). There are no people within 100km radius.
