Major Disaster Report

• M 6.5 very strong earthquake stuck today in Guerrero, Mexico (Iguala). The epicenter of the quake is in the southwestern state of Guerrero, 28 miles from Iguala. Damage to life and property is reported. Click for detail update report on this Strong Mexico earthquake
• Epidemic Hazard (Flu) in States of Maine, Indiana, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Iowa (USA)> UPDATED
  -The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced two cases of flu caused by two new viruses associated with swine
  -The virus found in West Virginia, known as H3N2, has a mixture of genes from swine, human and bird flu viruses

• M 4.1 moderate shallow earthquake in Northern Iran just below Nili. The populated area Gonbad-e qabus (pop 131,416), Iran is just 16 km far where well shaking will be experienced. People of Azad shahr will also feel well.

• M 3.4 very shallow earthquake in  Georgia just below Gandzani, Georgia (Tbilisi-Kojori-Tsalka-Ninotsminda, @ 2 km depth). It will be well felt in Ninotsminda (pop 6,141) and faintly as far as Borjomi (pop 13,825) and Gyumri (pop 148,381), Georgia

• M 4.6 moderate earthquake in Gansu-Qinghai Border Region, China located 15 km of Bolozhuanjing, China (@ 20.9 km depth). The populated area is very far. It will be faintly felt.

• M 6.2 strong but harmless earthquake South Of Sandwich Islands Region which is surrounded by lot of water (@ 115.4 km depth). Zavodovski (Stratovolcano) lies 35 km far from the epicenter. It is a hilly region with a maximum altitude of 492 m.

• M 4.6 harmless earthquake in Molucca Sea (Jebubu), Indonesia @ 62.7 km depth. It is hard to be felt.

• M 5.6 strong but harmless earthquake  recorded south of Fiji Island (Matokana, @ 559 km depth) with epicenter in sea water. It will not even be felt.

• M 4.4 earthquake at intermediate depth in Offshore El Salvador(Corral de Mulas). The epicenter is 53 km SW of San Miguel, El Salvador. It will be faintly felt.

• M 6.5 very strong earthquake in Guerrero, Mexico with epicenter located close to Apaxtla (pop 7,413), Mexico. More than 952000 people will have experienced a strong shaking. It is extremely dangerous quake  and sorry to say but we expect fatalities too. Heavy damage of life and property is expected. The most damage is in Iguala because the epicenter is very close. • M 5.8 strong earthquake in Ryukyu Islands, Japan (Doren). Luckily the epicenter is in sea water but No TSUNAMI ALERT issued. People of Naze will experience moderate shaking. JMA mentions M 5.4 @ 20 km depth in Amami-oshima Kinkai region. Max JMA intensity 4.

• M 4.5 deep earthquake recorded in Propinsi Maluku, Jerusu, Indonesia. The epicenter is in sea water. It is hard to be felt.

• M 2.9 minor earthquake in Eastern Turkey (@ 5 km depth) with epicenter located 26 km SE Ercis (pop 91,915), Turkey. It will be faintly felt in Ercis and Van.It is the same area where earlier M 7.2 deadliest earthquake took 605+ lives.

• Volcanic eruption in Royal Gardens, North America (Kilauea Volcano - Puu Oo crater)>Shield volcano ALERT CODE ORANGE
  -Lava is flowing into the ocean at Lae'apuki.
  -The erupted lava has reached the old Royal Gardens subdivision and is burning forest in a kipuka.
  -At the summit of Kilauea volcano there is a lava lake in a vent 75 m below the floor  of Halemaumau crater
  -Geologists warn that Hawaii's Kilauea volcano could awaken into violent explosive eruptions at any time

• Flash Flood in Gothenburg (Vastra Götaland) city of Sweden
  -A number of cars are reported to stuck on flooded streets in Gothenburg on Friday night
  -Some people are reported to be injured
  -In Gothenburg area, the flood levels peaked yesterday. The water level was 146 centimeters above normal
• Thailand Flood- Death Toll has risen to 684
