M3.4 earthquake in South Korea — Felt as far as Busan, Ulsan and Daegu

October 27, 2019: Magnitude 3.4 light earthquake has been recorded in South Korea at 03:37 pm today, Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) reported. The earthquake occurred in Changnyeong county in South Gyeongsang Province. The epicenter was located at 10 km depth. The tremor was felt as far as Busan, Ulsan and Daegu. Tropical Storm Pablo

October 27, 2019: Tropical Storm Pablo is expected to pass near or over the eastern islands today, The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said. Tropical storm Pablo is located about 55 miles south-southwest of Santa Maria Island in the Azores, moving northeast at 25 mph. There are no coastal watches or warnings are in effect for Tropical Storm Pablo. "Pablo poses no threat to the United States or Atlantic Canada, but it will bring some rain and gusty winds to the Azores over the weekend,"  AccuWeather reported. Tropical Storm Olga lost steam in the Gulf of Mexico and has been downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone early Saturday morning. Tropical Storm Olga causes damages, cancels flights

Update October 27, 2019 at 03:45 am UTC Tropical Storm Olga lost steam in the Gulf of Mexico and has been downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone early Saturday morning. The hurricane center is no longer monitoring the storm.  Meanwhile far out over the Atlantic Ocean, Tropical Storm Pablo has formed late Friday afternoon. October 26, 2019: Tropical Storm Olga has formed in the Gulf of Mexico bringing floods and flights cancellations. Dozens of flights were canceled or delayed at New Orleans’ main airport.  Several trees have been downed. The fallen tree caused significant damage to Tupelo Mayor Jason Shelton’s home, the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reported . According to the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC), coastal flooding is possible across portions of the northern Gulf coast. A wind advisory remained in force for eastern Mississippi. Floods, mudslides in Japan kill 10

October 26, 2019: Floods and mudslides caused by heavy rainfall have claimed lives of at least 10 people in Japan. Nine people died in Chiba and one dies in Fukushima.
