Japan earthquake today measuring 8.5 magnitude strikes near Ogasawara islands

An earthquake with a magnitude of 8.5 struck near the Ogasawara islands at 8:24 p.m. Saturday, Japan Meteorology Agency (JMA) reported. The earthquake shook buildings in Tokyo and temporary closed both runways at Narita Airport. According to NHK , train service between Tokyo and Osaka was halted due to a power outage.
