Earthquake in Southern California today

There was light earthquake in Southern California today. Magnitude 3.7 earthquake was recorded by U.S. Geological Survey around 11:16 A.M. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earthquake in Southern California today was located 22 km ESE from Anza and 24 km SW from La Quinta. It was 5.5 miles deep. Following epicenter location and depth, earthquake in Southern California today will have felt by the people of San Diego, Indio, Palm Desert, Cathedral City, Ramona, La Quinta, Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, Riverside, Anza and Idyllwild. Update 17:58 UTC Earthquakes have occured along the San Jacinto fault between the San Andreas and the Elsinore faults. Note that this fault is famous for big earthquakes . It is estimated that Elsinore Fault Zone is capable of producing a quake of 6.5–7.5 MW. It is the largest temblor to hit the Los Angeles region in three years .
