  • Wildfire in Cape Town, South Africa
    -Around 150 firefighters are battling wildfires in Cape Town region of South Africa which have burned at least five houses.

  • Tornado in Hesse, Germany
    - A tornado in Hesse state of western Germany has injured two people.

    -A Shiveluch volcano eruption in Russia led to the cancellation of flights in Alaska over the weekend.

  • Yellowstone volcano eruption
    -The latest update of the Yellowstone volcano by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) has shown total 78 registered earthquakes in the Yellowstone National Park region in February 2015.

NEPAL: Magnitude 6.0 strong earthquake in Khotang damages house

However, no injuries or fatalities have been reported till now. July 31, 2022: Magnitude 6.0 strong earthquake has been recorded in Khotang district of eastern Nepal at 08:13 am (02:28 UTC) Sunday morning at a shallow depth of 10 km. According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center (NEMRC), the earthquake epicenter was located in Mattim Birta, north of Khotang Bazar.
