As of October 23, 2015, Hurricane Patricia has became the strongest tropical cyclone ever recorded on Earth. Hurricane Patricia, the twenty-fourth named storm of the annual hurricane season, had the strongest ever recorded winds and the first to reach at or over 200 mph (325 km/h) sustained.

Mexico Flood: Quintana Roo state declares state of emergency

Heavy rainfall has caused flooding across Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, leading to the governor of Quintana Roo state declaring a state of emergency. On Monday, 106mm of rain fell in the state capital, Chetumal. More than 100 homes have been flooded in Chetumal, Al Jazeera reported.

Flooding in Benevento, Italy kills 5

Flood clean up , photo via ANSA  At least five people have died due to flooding and landslides in Benevento area of Italy. A 70-year-old woman died when water flooded her home after torrential rain in the Italian province of Benevento, ANSA reported.
