Recent flash floods in Russia's Olympic city of Sochi have claimed life of a person. Flooding triggered by heavy downpour damaged the Formula One race track at Adler.

Typhoon Kujira, which made landfall in Vietnam, has left nine dead and six others missing as of Thursday morning.  Son La Province has been the hardest hit with eight fatalities caused by flash floods and landslides, Thanh Nien News reported quoted the provincial Steering Committee on Search and Rescue.

Flash floods in a mountainous district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in northwest Pakistan have claimed lives of at least 10 people. Flash floods have destroyed a madrassa, eleven shops and eight houses in the area. Several students of the madrassa and some residents of the area have been missing after the flood.

A massive landslide on the northern bank of the Daning River in Wushan County of Chongqing Municipality, southwest China has left one missing and injured four others. The landslide disaster occurred at 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday evening, Xinhua reported.
