Moderate earthquake in Algeria's Bejaia region has injured at least four people, Xinhua reported. USGS has recorded magnitude 4.9 shallow earthquake in Algeria with epicenter located 17 km E of Bejaia. It was 7.9 miles deep. According to the Astronomy, Astrophysics and Geophysics Research Center , the earthquake in Algeria today had the epicenter in the s ea. Tremor caused cracks in walls in Bejaia and nearby Aokas area. Earthquake also caused panic in Setif, Bordj Bou Arreridj and Tizi Ouzou. At least 47 people have been missing following a landslide in Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo), Xinhua reported. Natural catastrophe occurrred in Rubaya in North Kivu province of DR Congo. A rescue team has been working in the landslide zone but no survivor or body has been found. Nyiragongo volcano landslide in DR Congo in 2010 claimed lives of at least 54 people. At least seven people are reported to be missing in an avalanche in the Mount Saipal region of far-western Nepal, Nepal based The Himalayan Times reports.
