July 16, 2019: A magnitude of 5.7 earthquake struck south of Indonesia's Bali on Tuesday, injuring one people and causing damages to the structures. "Some houses in Banyuwangi, an area on the eastern tip of Java, and Bali were damaged, as well as some temples in Bali,"  Bangkok Post reported quoting the National Disaster Mitigation Agency. Damages have been reported to the gate to Bali's Nusa Dua luxurious tourist area. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake occurred at a depth of 92km with epicenter located 82.1 km ENE of Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. The earthquake occurred at 07:18 am local time. The tremor was widely felt across Kuta, Tabanan, Ubud, Klungkung and other surrounding areas of Bali.  There is no tsunami threat from this earthquake. 

July 12, 2019: Tropical Storm Barry is expected to become hurricane by landfall on Saturday with dangerous storm surge, heavy rains and wind conditions across the north-central gulf coast. According to the National Hurricane Center and Central Pacific Hurricane Center, a hurricane warning is in effect for Intracoastal city to Grand Isle. Similarly, a tropical storm warning is in effect for mouth of the Pearl river to Grand Isle, Lake Pontchartrain and Lake Maurepas including metropolitan New Orleans and Intracoastal City to Cameron As of 4:00 P.M. CDT July 12 (21:00 UTC), Tropical Storm Barry was moving toward the west-northwest near 6 mph (9 km/h). On the forecast track, the center of Barry will approach the central or southeastern coast of Louisiana through tonight and then make landfall over the central Louisiana coast on Saturday.  After landfall, Barry is expected to move generally northward through the Mississippi Valley through Sunday night. July 12, 2019: An aircraft of Yeti Airlines skidded off due to the slippery runway caused by the heavy rainfall at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. According to the Yeti Airlines, the flight number NYT-422 (9N-AMM) coming from Nepalgunj skids of the runway at Kathmandu Airport at 11:05 am. At least two people have been injured in the incident, The Annapurna Post reported. There has been continuous rainfall in the Kathmandu Valley since Thursday evening.

July 6, 2019: Nepal Seismological Center has recorded magnitude 4.6 earthquake inside Kathmandu Valley with epicenter in Bhaktapur. The earthquake occurred at 04:15 pm Saturday afternoon. The epicenter was located near Bhajya Pukhu, north of Bhaktapur Multiple Campus. No damage or injury has been reported.
