One killed as rainstorm brings flooding in Tuz Khurmatu, Iraq

Heavy rainstorm has triggered flooding and destruction in Iraq leading to the death of a toddler. Flood water swept away a three-year-old girl at a camp for displaced people near Tuz Khurmatu. According to AFP , the storm damaged at least 500 tent houses in Amriyat al-Fallujah, a town in Anbar just west of Baghdad causing the evacuation of 1,000 families.

Twitter @IamTeamIK  Update October 27, 2015 - Death toll has risen to 338 including more than 200 in Pakistan alone. - At least 12 of the victims were Afghan schoolgirls killed in a crush as they tried to get out of their building. Main Post Magnitude 7.5 massive earthquake hit Peshawar region of Pakistan today , the U.S. Geological Survey reported. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located 45 km N of `Alaqahdari-ye Kiran wa Munjan. It was 132.1 miles deep. At least forty two people have died. Thirty people killed in Pakistan alone. Twelve more died in Afghanistan. Six people, including children, were killed in Swat, while four people were killed in the Bajaur tribal region after buildings collapsed in the area of Pakistan. Forty minutes after the first earthquake, another 4.8 magnitude tremor was reported in the same area. Tremor was felt in parts of Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and Nepal.

Bhutan hailstorm affects 60 households in Punakha

Hailstorm in Punakha area of Bhutan has affected nearly 60 household and destroyed more than 80 acres of paddy field. According to the ongoing crop damage assessment report, hailstorm caused destruction in Goenshari, Shengana, Kabisa and Chubu gewogs.

Huge space debris falling to earth on November 13, 2015 off Sri Lanka

The bright speck in the centre of the picture is the space junk (Metro) Huge space debris is predicted to enter earth’s atmosphere at 6:20 UTC on 13 November into the Indian Ocean about 65 kilometres off the southern tip of Sri Lanka. Officially designated WT1190F, the object was first spotted in February 2013 but it’s been lost a couple of times, only to be re-discovered earlier this month.

Pakistan snowstorm kills 1; Dozens tourists evacuated

Snowstorm in Babusar area of Pakistan has claimed life of a person. At least 70 tourists have been evacuated from Naran valley. According to Dunya News , the earliest snowfall in 40 years have dumped three feet of snow on one town in less than 24 hours.
