Nepal rattled by fresh magnitude 4.6 earthquake and aftershock

Magnitude 4.6 moderate fresh earthquake hit Darchula at 03:12 pm Tuesday afternoon, the Nepal Seismological Center (NSC) reported. According to NSC, the quake's epicenter was located inside Api Nampa Conservation area near Chhapari. This is the fresh earthquake not the aftershock of April 25 Gorkha earthquake.

Thousands evacuated as strong Typhoon Dujuan nears Taiwan

Strong Typhoon Dujuan (Typhoon Jenny in Philippines) is forecast to bring torrential rains and high winds across Taiwan, with landfall predicted around 15:00 GMT Monday. Almost 3,000 people, most of them tourists, were evacuated Sunday from Taiwan's Green Island and Orchid Island, Yahoo News reported.

Flash flood emergency declared in Jackson County, Mississippi

A flash flood emergency has been declared until 8 p.m. Sunday for the eastern part of Jackson County, Mississippi, including Pascagoula, Moss Point and Escatawpa, the National Weather Service said. Doppler radar has noted five to eight inches rainfall in the area and another two inches are expected.

Sinkhole at Inskip Point campsite near Rainbow Beach has taken a large part of the MV Beagle campsite swallowing a car, caravan, a camper trailer and tents, ABC News has reported quoting Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services (QPWS).

Flash flood in Tehran and Hormozgan kills 10

Flash flood in Tehran and the southern province of Hormozgan have claimed lives of at least 10 people on Friday night. Six people died in Pakdasht when a river broke its banks. Another four people died in Hormozgan province.

Magnitude 8.3 massive earthquake rattled Chile at 19:54 local time (22:54 GMT), the U.S. Geological Survey reported. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located 46 km W of Illapel, Chile. It was 15.5 miles deep.
