New eruption confirmed at Costa Rica's Rincón de la Vieja Volcano

From video posted on OVSICORI-UNA Facebook page The Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (OVSICORI) has confirmed a new eruption at Rincón de la Vieja Volcano on Tuesday. According to OVSICORI, Rincón de la Vieja Volcano spewed a column of vapor and gases reaching more than 700 meters high. Facebook Information: Volcán Rincón de la Vieja. 15 de marzo 2016. Turrialba volcano eruption 2015 spews ash – Tourists evacuated

Two volcanic eruptions at Turrialba volcano in Costa Rica spewed ash columns forcing several tourists to evacuate from the area. Turrialba volcano spewed the column of ash to 500 meters into the sky, the National University’s Volcanological and Seismological Observatory (OVSICORI) mentioned. Several tourists have been evacuated in areas surrounding Turrialba volcano, The Tico Times reported quoting  Police Chief Juan José Andrade as saying.

Poas volcano eruption 2013

At least two phreatic eruptions have been recorded at the Poas volcano, the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (OVSICORI) said. Poas volcano eruption was first observed at 9:55 a.m. and reached a height of between 2 to 3 meters. While at 11:16 a.m., the second eruption occurred reaching an estimated height of 10 to 15 meters. The National Emergency Commission (CNE) has maintained a green alert in Turrialba, Poas and Rincon de la Vieja, Inside CostaRica reported.
