Update 5:50 am According to the Nepal Seismological Center, the earthquake of magnitude 6.0 occurred today at 05:19 am with epicenter in Ramche, Sindhupalchowk. This is an aftershock of 2015 Gorkha earthquake . No preliminary damage or injures have been reported. Update 5:45 am According to the United States Geological Survey, the earthquake of magnitude 5.3 occurred 11 km SW of Kodari. Update 5:40 am EMSC has upgraded the magnitude to 5.5. The earthquake occurred at  depth of 10 km. Update 5:30 am The preliminary data shows epicenter to be around magnitude 4.8 with epicenter near Kodari in Nepal-China border. We are still waiting for Nepal Seismological Center for official data. We expect the magnitude to increase. Main Post September 16, 2020: An earthquake has been felt across Nepal. September 9, 2020: A magnitude 3.1 earthquake have been felt by the northern half of New Jersey early Wednesday morning. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 5 kilometers about 1.5 miles outside of the town of Freehold. The tremor was felt across northern New Jersey and into parts of New York and Pennsylvania as well.

September 15, 2020: At least six people have been killed in deadly flash flooding after heavy rainfall for six days across Tunisia. Flash floods have affected Monastir, Jendouba, Mahdia, Sidi Bouzid, and Tunis areas.

September 13, 2020:  At least eleven people died and 20 remain missing in two separate landslides at three settlements in Barhabise Municipality of Sindhupalchowk district of Nepal. Bodies of seven women and four men have been recovered from the landslides area. Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police and local people have been involved in search operations.

September 10, 2020: At least 21 people have been killed and around 51,000 families have been displaced after severe flooding in Nigeria, the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) confirmed. Gwaram, Birnin Kudu, Kirikasamma, and Gumel are reported as the worst-hit areas.

September 2, 2020: At least 93 people have been killed while more than 380,000 people have been affected by severe floods in Sudan. North Darfur has been worst hit with 90,505 people affected by the flood. According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA), more than 37,000 homes have been destroyed.

September 2, 2020: Severe floods across Bangladesh have claimed lives of 251 people and left more than 5 million affected. As many as 269 sub-units in 33 districts of Bangladesh have been flooded.

September 3, 2020: At least 24 people have been killed and 11,000 people have been displaced after heavy rains causing flooding in Madhya Pradesh, India. Heavy rainfall caused the Narmada River at Hoshangabad to rise around 2 m above the danger mark. According to the India’s Disaster Management Division, recent flooding has affected 33.000 people across 1,906 villages and 28 districts of the state. A total of 11 197 homes have also been damaged.

September 3, 2020: Deadly flooding in Parwan, Afghanistan has claimed lives of at least 190 people. Floodwater completely destroyed 1,055 houses and almost 3 000 were partially damaged. 

September 8, 2020: Thee massive floods in the Bhuji River of Dhorpatan Municipality in Baglung district of Nepal has claimed lives of at least 17 people. The flash flood triggered by heavy rainfall washed away around half a dozen of houses. At least 21 people swept away by the flood are still missing.

September 5, 2020: Hurricane Laura, the strongest hurricane on record to make landfall in the U.S. state of Louisiana, claimed lives of 71 people and caused damage of around $8.9 billion. Hurricane Laura made landfall in southwest Louisiana at 1 a.m. on Aug. 27 as a Category 4 storm. Hurricane Laura killed 31 people in Haiti and four in the Dominican Republic. The storm caused the deaths of at least 36 people in the U.S.
